What is the Rosicrucian Order AMORC?

The Rosicrucian Order AMORC is one of the modern organizations that claims. To be a continuation of the original Rosicrucian tradition. The acronym AMORC stands for Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis. The order was founded in 1915 by Harvey Spencer Lewis, an American author, and mystic who claimed to have been initiated into the Rosicrucian mysteries in France by a representative of an ancient European branch of the order.

According to AMORC, its teachings are based on a “perennial philosophy” that transcends time and culture, and that can be traced back to the ancient Egyptian mystery schools that existed around 1500 BCE. These schools were said to be learning centers where initiates were taught the secrets of nature, life, and the universe. AMORC also claims to have inherited and preserved the wisdom of other ancient traditions such as Pythagoreanism, Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, Kabbalah, and Alchemy.

AMORC presents itself as a non-sectarian, non-political, and fraternal order that welcomes men and women of legal adult age (18 years old in most countries) regardless of their religious beliefs or backgrounds. Its main purpose is to help its members develop their full potential by providing them with a system of study and practice that covers various aspects of human knowledge and experience, such as metaphysics, mysticism, psychology, parapsychology, health, ethics, ecology, culture, and history. AMORC also encourages its members to apply their learning to their daily lives and to contribute to the welfare of humanity and nature.

AMORC operates through lodges, chapters, and affiliated bodies that are located in different countries around the world. These groups offer regular meetings where members can participate in rituals, meditations, discussions, and social activities. Members can also study at their own pace through correspondence courses that are sent by mail or online. AMORC also publishes books, magazines, podcasts, and videos available to members and non-members alike.
